Yes, you can bypass the integrated brake controller on your 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 by using the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195, the Plug-In Adapter # 3016, and then running 10 Gauge Wire # 10-1-1 from the blue wire on the adapter (which you'll need to cut into) through your firewall and back to the brake controller output on your truck's 7-Way (see attached).

Hey William, so if you have a factory 7-way at the rear of your 2014 Coachman Freelander there is some brake controller wiring ran but not an adapter plug like you asked about. What is there is just a wire for the brake output circuit which the blue wire of the brake controller would wire to. This is near the emergency brake pedal.

Wes, it could be possible that your brakes are jerky after they are warm because you adjusted them while they were cold. So what you can do recommended to warm the brakes by applying the manual lever for a bit while driving at slow speed; once they're warmed you can adjust them properly.

I always recommend being careful when cutting into any grommets as you do not know what may be inside or behind them. I do see that in our Installation video for the Tekonsha P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 they used the same hole to pass the wires through for. To install the Brake Mounting Flange # 4-34 on your 2,000 lb axle you'll need to have an experienced welder/trailer shop do the installation for you as they would know the best placement for the flange. We don't do that kind of installation so I don't have any info regarding the placement of the flange.

The Liberty is going to be more reliable than the # C51170 and has a smaller knob for a cleaner look.
